Maria Manuela refuses to give in to conformity. From a very early age, she has painted and transformed her surroundings, in a constant search to materialize her inner universe. After going viral on the internet under the name La Vie de Marie, she captured the attention of the national public in 2022. This documentary, filmed over four years by her friend João, crystallizes their friendship and Maria’s growth at the most sensitive and challenging point of her life — her entry into adulthood and the affirmation of her identity in the small town where she grew up in northern Portugal.
